Why Pinks?

The Pinks story ………..

Evolving from a flower stall opened in 1972 the Pinks business has without doubt become a formidable force in UK floristry.

Our first permanent base was established at a small garden centre in East Barnet, North London in 1989 where we stocked a wide variety of unusual and spectacular houseplants, bedding plants and shrubs. Customer demand resulted in us quickly moving into the cut flower business that expanded into premises adjoining the Garden centre section.

From the outset our policy was, and remains today, to consistently supply our customers with the best fresh cut flowers and plants that we can buy at the best possible price with the emphasis always on freshness, quality and service.

Rigorously following these policies enabled our business to flourish so that by 1992 we were encouraged to open a second store in Whetstone N20, opening up a whole new geographical area and customer base to supply

During the same year we were invited to open a further retail unit at the popular ‘Spires Shopping Centre’ in High Barnet. This was to be sited as one of the ‘Spires’ features, prominent throughout the development, and immediately adjacent to the centres busy ‘Waitrose’ supermarket.

The 3 sites together enabled us to become really adventurous and we began to import unusual flowers and plant species.

In 2005 we opened our new look ‘Concept’ store in Finchley Central N3, incorporating our new modern brand and design ideas the shop was an instant hit for the local area. With a flourishing wedding and corporate business, as well as, of course numerous repeat customers for bouquets and hand ties, the store offers something for everyone
